Your course leader is an experienced trainer and facilitator who has been running successful Negotiations courses at IIR MD since 2002.
He has run both “open” programs and delivered courses “in company” for IIR ranging from Vodafone, Expedia and Coke, amongst others. As an experienced trainer Martin works both nationally and internationally has had extensive experience of working in continental Europe, the USA, Russia and has also delivered training in South Africa, India, Malaysia and Kazakhstan.
Martin also has extensive experience of working at the highest level in executive education at some of the world’s best business schools and is a Course Director at the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Here he runs their Negotiation and Advanced Sales skills programs.
With a 23 year background in sales, Martin brings a wealth of real-world industry experience to his training added to his extensive theoretical experience of his topics. Martin started his career in Sales in 1991 in the travel industry as a sales consultant. He quickly won the “Sales Consultant of the year” award and promotions to assistant manager, branch manager and area branch manager followed over the next five years. Martin was then a Sales Manager for a tour operating company for two years where he developed his B2B sales and negotiating skills when working with industry partners and general sales agents worldwide. He then spent three years as a Sales Manager for an international car rental company in franchise sales and franchise management. His sales area was Europe and the Middle East which really developed his ability to work internationally and cross culturally. Working with entrepreneurs representing an international brand, helped Martin further develop his negotiation skills.
Martin has a keen interest in Psychology and holds numerous Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) qualifications. His interest in influence has also extended into the area of Personal Impact, a subject he is passionate about and is currently writing a book on the topic.
